A favorite quote is "You wouldn't be nearly as impressed with my work if you knew how hard I worked at it." Michelangelo The specific areas in network marketing that you need to MASTER are: 1. How to Invite a prospect to look at your product/service/business. 2. How to Present your product/service/business to the prospect. 3. How to Train your distributors to be effective at #1 & #2. That's it. That's the business. You can spend 10 years in network marketing floundering around and never master it. Simply being around it is not mastery. Mastery of network marketing is: Knowing all nomenclature associated with network marketing. Understanding network marketing conceptually as well as specifically. Applying your skills successfully. Having "up"- statistics. Successfully passing that knowledge and ability to others. Right now, you've got a choice: You can pretend to be doing network marketing. Throw it by a couple of your friends while appearing to be "sort of"interested, but not really. That way depending on their interest you can shift your direction. Toy around with it for a couple of weeks or months and then decide you're "not made for it". Or you can stop pretending to be "cool with the gang". This is your life. Your family's life. Do the research, there's not a better industry. You're wasting your talents and your precious time while you could be building an income and a retirement plan. There's an immediate fear when entering this business and it's that maybe you don't have what it takes. Perhaps you don't. But the skills you need, you need anyway. I recommend you jump in and master with enthusiasm this incredible industry. It will be hard and uncomfortable. The hard and the uncomfortable is what creates us. Everything on this planet grows strongest under strain; us included. Don't avoid it because it's hard; just get the hard part out of the way and reap the rewards. I don't think it's nearly as hard as getting up to an alarm clock everyday and working for somebody else. I don't think it's nearly as hard as it is to live your entire life "wishing" you could help your parents have more. I don't think it's nearly as hard as the regret for not spending more time with your loved ones. Is network marketing "perfect"? Absolutely not. All industries have good and bad. Network Marketing just has more good than any other industry for the most amounts of people. I also feel it's a very intelligent industry just waiting to be mastered. Grass roots people have been making millions and millions of dollars a year in this industry for over 50 years. While 80-90% of the world is standing around thinking Network Marketing is a scam, these people have been raking it in. Just as Netscape, Microsoft, AOL, AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Visa, Champion, GE, Good Year, Kodak, Kinko's, Nabisco, Nikon, Quaker, Betty Crocker, joined the ranks of companies to move into the Network Marketing arena, I get a witty sense of competitive pride because a lot of people told me I was "chasing dreams". What these giant corporations do by coming into the Network Marketing industry is legitimize it in a big way. This is the right industry to master. The next ten years are going to be high growth. Ten years from now you will be one of three types of people. Those who made it happen. Or------those who hoped it would happen, but never got started. Or-------------those who wake up, and say "What happened?" 1. Set your goals today. DHS Goal Setting and Planning Guide 2. Print out this fine site, and begin your thirty day plan to victory.
