Information on how to build an an online business

How to set up a chat room on AOL.

***At the end of this letter is a four page letter on "How to Recruit out of a Chat Room."

Several folks have asked my how to do this. Here are some tips.
This was done on AOL, and if you visit other chat rooms you will have to adapt to that environment. Some of your contacts will be on AOL, and you may use this information to train them. BR>
Go to the top of the main AOL screen, and click on AOL Chat.

Click on Start your own Chat if you want anyone to be able to come in the room
Click on Private Chat if you just want it for a limited number of folks.

On Member chat, pick which category you would like to be listed in, and think of a creative name for the room to attract people. Entrepreneur, Making Money, 3 billion dollar a year business or whatever you can dream up to make people come to the room.

Then you just do some other task and wait for people to come in the room. You should position that window, so you can see it if you are writing a letter or some other task. It is good to have another member of Tidom in there with you, and you can carry on a conversation, and others will look and either join in or leave. If someone comes in room, greet them, and find out about their lives. Then if they seem interested you can talk to them about your business. Do not force feed someone. They may come back later and talk to you. No one wants it crammed down their throat.

In Private Chat, we can make a room for Tidom, and it will not be listed in the main AOL listings, but others can find you if you type in the search engine.

Hope this answers some of your questions. Tools are to be used. Some work better for other folks. You just have to experiment and see if it works for you.

Millions of lonely, hungry, tired and angry people are out there looking for someone to talk to, to lean on, to learn from, and to help carry their burden.

"HOW TO RECRUIT OUT OF A CHAT ROOM"

This process will help you weed out those folks who are not good prospects. Many people who come in to chat rooms, have no particular agenda in mind. The title of the room is very important. It needs to communicate what you want to talk about. Words like Entrepreneur and Success, attract the right kind of people. Here are a few names you could use: Entrepreneurs R Us, Success, Inc., Innovative Ideas, Making Money, Business Opp, New Home Business, Web Miracles. Think up your own name and see if it draws people.

The rest of this information is geared toward AOL chatrooms. I can get you free 30 day access to try it out, and observe me if you like. Email me your name and address and I will send you a free AOL service for a month.

When you open a room, be sure you make it a member room and not a private chat, or no one will come in. After you open the room, go the People Connection, and look in Find a Chat and see if your room is listed. You probably want to put it in News, Sports, and Finance, but any category will work.

It is best to team up with a Tidom friend and work the room. Use your Tidom partners and trainees and teach them as they watch you. Agree ahead of time which one is going to be the leader of the room, and chief spokesperson. Any members who come to observe, should do just that. Speak only when spoken to, and do not interrupt. The room host has an agenda in mind, and when another person interrupts the flow of the room, people lose interest and leave. The more Tidom folks you can get to join up with you, the better. A room with 6 or 7 is more attractive than a room with 2. When a new person enters the room, Greet them with an introduction. Hi, my name is Jim. What is yours?

Every attempt should now be made to get a two way conversation going with the person. Remember, others should just watch, unless asked by the host to join in or take over.

Before Beginning, make sure you have your pull down favorite file, on your desktop for instant ready use. Have all your Links in one folder, for easy access. If other Tidom folks are in the room, leave them to work the room for you. You should leave the room, and while your prospect is accessing the first link, go back in the room and tell the other member you will be on a personal IM with the prospect. Leave the other person in the room, even while you are Instant Messaging them, since it creates more interest if there are more folks in the room. More people will click on a room with 6-8 folks than they will with 1 or 2. Then follow the ideas in this actual talk. You must tailor to your own story, or use your upline’s story, until you have one of your own. NOTE** Be prepared for a lot of spam while you are in the room. It is a necessary evil, but just delete it when you are finished.

Icebreaker Questions:

1. Ken, where are you from? I am from Virginia.

2. What kind of work do you do? Do you enjoy your work. After this question try to find something in common with them and comment on that. This is called throwing out the net.

3. Ken, Do you ever do any kind of Internet business or are you just on here for fun?

4. Have you ever considered starting your own home based business? Or, have you ever considered starting your own Internet business (or on line business)?

5. No matter what they answer, proceed with the next question. This question will tell you if they are interested.

6. Ken, would you have a few minutes for me to show you an exciting new concept in Home Based Business over the Internet? (Or depending on his prior responses, you might substitute Multi Level Marketing Business, Or use the phrase "building your own business"). Or Being your own boss.

7.If he says Yes, then say, Ken, let me IM (Instant Message) you so we can talk easier. (already have his name ready to IM, and type something like “Come on in”)

8. Once you have him in a one on one situation, you can begin your presentation.

9. The following conversation was recently done on an IM with a person who contacted me on an ad I ran. .

I have deleted the preliminary information of getting to know this person. This took about 3 minutes. I have not corrected punctuation or spelling in this, since I rapidly type in information while I am in a chat room.

If at anytime during the conversation, they lose interest, ask them if you can send them a letter with your personal story, so they may look at it later, if they change their mind.
